Quran & Tajweed
A fundamental requirement for a Muslim child is to become acquainted with the Book of Allah, the Quran. At Tayyibun Madrashah, we endeavour to take each child by their hand through the journey of learning how to correctly read the Quran.
We have developed a structured programme with ten levels to ensure progression within the curriculum. Our focus is to teach young children the correct recitation of the Quran with Tajweed, as well as encourage its memorisation.
Arabic Language
The Quran is in the Arabic language and therefore learning it the will help us understand the Quran when reading it. It is advantageous to become familiar with the language at a young age. We have carefully designed a structured syllabus to teach Arabic in a non Arabic-speaking environment to learners from a broad age range.
Our Arabic syllabus aims for students to progress in building up their knowledge of Arabic vocabulary and grammar and to put into practice the skills they have acquired through written exercises, spoken passages of dialogue and comprehension exercises.
Islamic Studies
At Tayyibun we strongly believe in providing the platform for children to develop their character. Whilst the nurturing of a child should primarily begin at home, we aim to provide a supporting role to families and reinforce good values and good character.
We hope to inculcate the love of Islam within children, have tolerance and respect for people, enjoin righteousness and peace and uphold justice.
The curriculum incorporates modules in creed (belief in the pillars of iman), worship (purification, zakah, prayer, fasting, hajj) and character (manners & etiquette and studies relating to interactions, dealings and personal development). These modules are taught over eight age-appropriate levels.
